StrikeIron Inc. has partnered with DataUnison to bring eBay Market research data to the desktop, mobile devices, and within applications.

The DataUnison eBay Research Web Service returns both aggregated and detailed analysis on items being sold on eBay for the last 90 days of sales. Users can evaluate the historical pricing and performance of any item on eBay as well as look at Seller-specific competitive research. It gives eBay sellers the ability to filter results by their own and other eBay seller IDs to gain understanding into the competitive landscape of the market.

StrikeIron's Web Services Marketplace is a central location where providers can sell commercial Web services - and buyers can purchase them - and has what it calls the world's largest library of externally available plug-and-play Web services.

As part of StrikeIron's Marketplace, the DataUnison eBay Research Web Service is priced on a pay-as-you go model and allows subscribers to take advantage of all of the services and tools in the Marketplace.

StrikeIron has created a series of Workbook templates freely available that can be invoked inside of Excel using the StrikeIron OnDemand for Excel add-in and can be the starting point for sophisticated seller analysis. The workbook templates allow users to build rich-client spreadsheets that incorporate data feeds from DataUnison and other live data sources with no programming required, enabling composite applications to be built within Excel in minutes.

DataUnison is a division of Aers, publisher of Terapeak, an eBay market-data service. DataUnison recently launched an API to provide eBay developers, PowerSellers and Fortune 500 companies with historical eBay market data.
