Christie's International launched a service to allow users to "virtually" attend and bid remotely on auctions at its salerooms across the globe. The auction house will roll out Christie's Live to selected sales in New York and London during its six-month introductory phase, including the October auction of Star Trek memorabilia.

Edward Dolman, Christie's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Christie's LIVE is the latest step in our innovative strategy to grow our business and the auction market internationally."
Clients must register at Christies.com no later than two business days before each sale. Participants must download free, customized software from the Christie's website, and a unique paddle number for that sale will be issued.
This new software has been developed by Christie's preferred online bidding solutions provider Auction Management Solutions (AMS) of Tampa, Florida.
