Jeffrey L. Weingrad, President and CEO of Bid4Assets, sent out an email to members last week announcing a new category structure for auction listings. The online auction site rolled out additional tiers to popular categories and added a few new ones. "This enhanced category structure allows sellers to better define their auctions and gives buyers the flexibility to browse through or get right to the auctions much faster," Weingrad wrote.
A spokesperson said new categories, such as sports equipment and luxury items, will appeal to the Bid4Assets buyer base. She said the online-auction site will be actively recruiting high-value sellers in those categories. She said the additional level of granularity in existing categories will help buyers find what they want faster, such as the coins and jewelry categories.
The new category structure can be viewed in the PDF file below.
