Google Seeks Storefronts for Checkout & Developers for Base

Google announced incentives for storefront providers to integrate their platforms with Google Checkout, and it also launched an API for developers to integrate with Google Base.
Google announced a new incentive program that gives existing storefront solution providers incentives to integrate their platforms with Google Checkout, including one year of payment for every merchant signed up plus a percentage of those merchants' Google Checkout sales; and bonuses for integrating with Checkout, with an extra bonus for integrating before September 30th (http://googlecheckout.blogspot.com/2006/08/bringing-checkout-to-e-commerce.html ).
Google released on Wednesday a data API for developers to write applications that dynamically interact with Google Base (http://googlebase.blogspot.com/2006/08/new-google-base-data-api.html ).
