Reading AuctionBytes: Kaboodle Teams up with eBay's Shopping.com

Kaboodle announced an agreement with eBay's shopping-comparison site Shopping.com. Kaboodle will integrate Shopping.com's product catalog into its service so consumers can quickly access product information as they shop across the web. Shopping.com's merchants will receive incremental traffic from Kaboodle's active user base, and Kaboodle also will earn a share of revenue generated from online sales originating from Kaboodle pages.

Kaboodle helps members organize and share information found on the Internet. Items listed in Kaboodle pages will be matched against Shopping.com's global product catalog, and relevant price ranges will be displayed alongside individual Kaboodle items. Clicking the pricing information will take users to a more detailed page of pricing comparisons, retailers and ratings so that they can make informed purchasing decisions.

Separately, Kaboodle also introduced new features that make it easy for consumers to customize the look and feel of their Kaboodle "collections" and share them across the web on blogs, social networks and other sites. Other new features include the display of best price recommendations, the ability to create and join groups of common interests for social networking and collaboration, and enhancements to Kaboodle's one-click functionality.

Kaboodle's partnership with Shopping.com follows its collaboration with eBay in June to launch MyCollectibles.
