AuctionBytes is surveying online sellers to take a snapshot of the state of the online-auction industry. The results will be published in a future issue of AuctionBytes-Update, the sister publication of AuctionBytes Newsflash.

The survey will determine where online-auction sellers are currently listing products for sale, whether they have their own ecommerce website or Storefronts, and how significant their own sites are overall. Other issues to be tackled include online payments, phishing and account hijacking.

In six months, we'll do the survey again and compare the results. This is also an opportunity for readers to give AuctionBytes feedback about what kinds of articles they would like to see covered and what issues are important to them.
