ePier.com CEO James Kim asked for support from members to help grow revenue to support advertising initiatives. The challenge to auction sellers came in the form of a letter posted on the ePier Announcement Board. The online auction site has competed with eBay since 1999 and now has over 100,000 registrations.

Kim said ePier will begin broadcasting video blogs this week, and invited community members to contribute to the ePier newsletter on a volunteer basis. ePier will send members a $20 gift certificate to Baskin & Robins Ice Cream for any contributions it uses in the newsletter. ePier is also planning on doing some things to grow its community, such as sending out brochures to sellers and expanding its referral program.

Kim's letter mentioned improvements to made to ePier in the last 7 months, including server performance and anti-fraud measures. "We spot and suspend Nigerian fraud and reject fraudulent bids," Kim wrote. Also mentioned was a newly revamped storefront that costs $19.95 per year (not month).
