Yahoo is phasing out its Auction Seller Booths, according to an announcement posted on the site on Tuesday. Beginning October 16, Yahoo Auctions will redirect all Yahoo Auction Seller booths to newly updated "Auctions by Seller" pages.
Yahoo said that with this migration, it will improve the buying experience by offering:
- Ability to narrow results by price, category, item number and more;
- Increased sorting options
- Customizable search results layout in either traditional horizontal or grid display format
- Easy scanning via item preview panes and enlarged image links
- Improved distribution via seller RSS links
Auction Booths were custom pages on Yahoo Auctions where sellers could feature their auction items exclusively and could give the booths a custom look. Yahoo had launched Auction Booths in 2001.
