Suspended Seller's Account Shows Active Listings on eBay

An eBay seller with the User ID kmak333 was suspended by eBay on Wednesday because of VeRO violations. But although he can't access his account, his listings still are live on the site, so while shoppers can presumably still buy items from him, he has no way to fulfill those orders.

When AuctionBytes viewed the account on Thursday afternoon, there were a total of 46,526 active items, including 171 auctions.

Kmak333's auction-management service provider could provide no clues. AuctionHelper founder and President Jerry Lynch said he had never seen a situation in which a suspended seller's listings were left live on the site. Lynch has been on eBay for almost 10 years.

Kmak333 has sold music CDs and videos on eBay for 4-5 years and said this is his first VeRO suspension. While he seems unhappy that he has been suspended because, he says, he has always worked diligently with eBay's VeRO department, he is most concerned that shoppers are buying his items but he is unable to fulfill the orders or communicate with the buyers.

eBay's public relations department did not reply by press time.
