Virtual Iris in announcing that Irisize.com, the company’s newly redesigned website, is now in public beta. The site allows anyone to convert digital pictures into rich-media displays that can be used in e-mail and on the internet without the need to learn how to do any complex programming. The site includes an eBay Turbo-Lister that automatically inserts “Irisized” pictures directly into eBay auctions.
During the beta period which is expected to last for a few weeks, use of the site will be completely free to users. Virtual Iris will notify existing users prior to activating the sites billing system.
“We are extremely proud and excited about this launch,” said Adam Rubin, Virtual Iris President. It is the culmination of a massive 18 month effort.
Irisize.com provides users with easy to use drag-and-drop interfaces to upload their pictures and to add enhancements such as 3D rotation, Zoom, Measurement, Text Boxes and Color Change. The site is setup to allow users to easily generate and share interactive pictures for the web and for specific websites such as MySpace, Xanga and Blogger.
Those who use pictures in their eBay auctions will find that using Irisize.com will not only allow them to enhance their auctions with rich media, but it will also save them money. By using picture galleries generated through the Irisize website, users will be able to show up to 24 pictures in each auction item for a single flat fee of $0.99 (free during the beta period).
Within the next several weeks, the company will be adding additional features to the site including an SDK and the ability for users to purchase and download Virtual Iris Enterprise software.
