eBay auction-management provider Vendio has launched a new email service called Vendio Buyer Appreciation. The service helps eBay sellers send automated "thank you" emails to bidders, which can also be used to showcase their other eBay listings or to offer incentives that encourage buyers to continue bidding.
Vendio Buyer Appreciation automates the time-consuming process of contacting bidders as a means of customer relationship management (CRM) and advertising.
The Buyer Appreciation service can be used alone or in conjunction with Vendio Sales Manager, which helps sellers automate all necessary email correspondence throughout the sales process, including Winning Bidder Notifications, Payment Received Notifications, Shipment Notifications, and Feedback Reminder Notifications.
Vendio said the service can also reduce the number of unpaid bidders and can validate the bidder's contact information by watching for "bounced" emails. Bidders can easily "opt-in" to the seller's mailing list so they can contact buyers later with special offers.
According to Vendio, the new service is in complete accordance with eBay policy, as bidders' email addresses are not recorded or stored unless they explicitly opt-in to the mailing list. The service can be used in conjunction with any other sales management service or eBay listing method and is offered at no charge.
