NBC's Today show will feature two auction champions in a segment scheduled to air on December 28. Correspondent Kevin Tibbles worked with the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) on a segment focusing on what it takes to become a professional auctioneer.
Tibbles visited the Reppert School of Auctioneering in Auburn, Indiana in October where winners of the NAA's 2006 International Auctioneer competition, Barbara Bonnette and John Nicholls, coached Tibbles on how to bid-call.
The NAA has over 6,000 members and is dedicated to promoting the auction method of marketing and enhancing the professionalism of its members. The organization was founded in 1949 and is headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.
The NAA said it will post the video to the NAA website after it airs.
