Adam Ginsburg has begun marketing AuctionOptimizer, a web-based research software tool for eBay sellers. According to eBay spokesperson Ali Croft, the tool is a private-label of an application owned by HammerTap, which is an eBay Certified Provider.
AuctionOptimizer analyzes current eBay statistics and delivers information to help sellers determine supply and demand for specific products and categories on eBay. Data includes the best days of the week to start and end an auction; best starting price; what listing features (such as gallery pictures and other items) are best to use; the most effective keywords to use.
AuctionOptimizer is available in a "PowerWeb Edition" for $19.95/month and, according to the site, is the first web-based research tool that researches both eBay and Overstock auctions. The tool is also available in a "PowerDesk Edition" for $39.95/month, which allows users to save an unlimited number of research files and rearrange the data. The PowerDesk edition also lets subscribers research specific eBay sellers simply by entering their eBay User ID. The tool shows eBay sellers' activity including their sold and unsold listings, eBay fees, and all relevant selling data.
Adam Ginsburg is well known in the eBay selling community as a successful and respected seller who abandoned his Titanium-level User ID when it became NARU (Not a Registered Seller) on eBay in 2004 (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y04/m09/i08/s02).
AuctionOptimizer is offering users a 10-day free trial.
