BuySafe Continues Expanding Off-eBay with Cart32 Partnership

BuySafe, which launched exclusively as a bonding service for eBay sellers, announced it has partnered with ecommerce solutions provider Cart32 to make the BuySafe service available to merchants using Cart32's suite of ecommerce products. Cart32 provides shopping cart, checkout, and storefront hosting solutions to tens of thousands of domestic and international online retail clients. BuySafe announced a similar deal with MIVA Small Business Solutions in December.

BuySafe certifies and monitors online merchants, identifying qualified merchants with the BuySafe Seal. It uses surety bonds to guarantee merchant transactions for online shoppers. BuySafe will be integrated into Cart32 software versions 6.3 and higher, allowing merchants to seamlessly add the BuySafe trust solution to their websites in minutes. Once integrated, merchants display the BuySafe Seal and pay a commission for BuySafe-bonded transactions. Merchants will also be able to offer their customers the ability to bond their purchases at checkout, in which case merchants receive a revenue bonus (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y06/m10/i24/s03).

Cart32 President Shannon McMurtrey said, "Our partnership with BuySafe helps us further our mission to be the most comprehensive and trusted ecommerce solutions provider for online retailers." BuySafe will be available to Cart32 customers beginning in March 2007. Current Cart32 customers interested in being considered as beta testers for BuySafe should send an email to cart32@buysafe.com.

BuySafe's Bonded Shopping program is also available to eBay, Overstock.com, and Tias.com merchants. In June of last year, BuySafe opened the program to websites operated by merchants who use certain service providers, which now includes Zoovy, MIVA and Cart32.

BuySafe also operates a website at www.buysafeshopping.com where over two million BuySafe-bonded items can be found.
