The Chase Group announced a new ecommerce conference and exhibition on Tuesday. Online Market World will begin with a "pre-conference" featuring several special interest tracks including an Executive Conference, a Developer Conference, and other tracks sponsored by associations and vendors, such as the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance. DealerWeek.com will also hold an event that will teach vehicle dealers and related service providers how to harness the power of the Internet.
The main conference will feature issue-oriented tracks and threads "designed to improve the execution of ecommerce strategies across professional disciplines and disparate vertical markets." Attendees will include C- and V-level executives, line of business managers, ecommerce professionals, IT managers, software developers, online marketing professionals, consultants, and entrepreneurs.
eBay and PayPal are set to participate at the event, which will take place at Moscone Center West Hall in San Francisco, October 3 - 5, 2007.
"Online Market World is unique in its scope and format," said Lisa Morgan, Senior Vice President of Programs and Education at Online Market World. "The event will address the entire ecommerce lifecycle as opposed to just one aspect of it. In addition, the conference sessions will be highly interactive, enabling attendees to learn more in less time."
Online Market World was created in response to market demand for a broad industry forum that provides a "big picture view" of the evolution of ecommerce. "Toward that end, the event will cover important macro trends occurring in the ecommerce space from a forward-looking point of view. It will also address emerging micro trends occurring in particular segments of the ecommerce industry that affect the entire value chain." Online Market World registration will open on March 1, 2007.
