CityXpress Corp., a leading developer of revenue-generating marketplaces for newspapers, announced the launch of XpressCars, an online auto auction. XpressCars enables newspapers to offer local dealers an online auction that is designed to reach new consumers, sell vehicles and generate sales leads, while growing the newspaper's dealer advertising lineage.

XpressCars was developed from CityXpress' experience with more than 600 newspaper auctions, in which vehicles are among the most consistently popular products. CityXpress auction clients have sold vehicles valued at more than $10 million.

XpressCars is an online auction that runs on the XpressAuctions platform, supported by a print advertising program in the newspaper. The auction may run as a one-time event in conjunction with a dealer sales promotion, or as regular event throughout the seasonal sales cycle, such as at quarter-ends.
