eBay Says Comcast Subscribers Having Access Issues

An eBay moderator posted an announcement in the Technical Issues discussion board that some Comcast subscribers in the southeast have been experiencing issues connecting to eBay. "eBay and Comcast technicians are working together to isolate the cause and resolve this issue. If you are having difficulties, please check back here for updates."

An active participant on the boards said she has read reports that indicate most users having problems are located in the eastern states, but a few are located in other areas.

Another poster on the boards suggested users change their DNS settings, and explained how to do it. Some reported they were able to have Comcast customer service representatives help walk them through the process on the phone (http://forums.ebay.com/db2/thread.jspa?threadID=2000306054). Those who changed the DNS settings said it worked, and allowed them to access eBay again.
