Online auction site Bid4Assets announced that Patrick Mersinger has joined the company as Senior Account Manager. Mersinger is responsible for major account management and development, and will play a key role in spearheading the company's general merchandise category growth. Mersinger reports to Bid4Assets Vice President, Strategic Partners Eileen Stout.

"Patrick has a proven track record in driving sales and business development. His experience in strategic account management, coupled with his strong background in marketing and ecommerce, make him uniquely qualified to further expand Bid4Assets general merchandise sales," said Jeff Weingrad, president and CEO of Bid4Assets, Inc.

Most recently Mersinger was a strategic account manager at BuySafe, an auction and ecommerce bonding service, where he was responsible for acquiring and managing the company’s "Top 50" client base. Mersinger also was instrumental in developing and managing cross-promotional programs with key strategic partners including eBay, Zoovy and Overstock.com.

In a letter to members, Weingrad said Bid4Assets will focus in 2007 on growing two key areas of its business: general merchandise (e.g. jewelry, cars, coins, etc.) and real estate. He said the company has implemented a new financing program to aid prospective real estate investors with financing their purchases on Bid4Assets. In addition, the company is adding some enhancements to the site, such as the addition of item specifics to listings.
