ChannelAdvisor has launched a paid-search marketing service designed to help online sellers manage campaigns across multiple search engines. Through a single user interface, SearchAdvisor enables online businesses to manage, automate and optimize their search marketing efforts across top search engines including Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.com.
ChannelAdvisor spokesperson Ashley Jones said SearchAdvisor is a separate module that merchants can get to from ChannelAdvisor Merchant. There are monthly subscription and commission fees, and Jones said some of the company's eBay merchants have begun using the new service.
Key features include the ability to tie-in to inventory, out-of-stock alerts, and advanced optimization rules that include margin-based bid-management on actual product costs.
ChannelAdvisor CEO Scot Wingo said, "By factoring product inventory and margin into the search marketing equation, SearchAdvisor allows etailers to focus on the optimization of profitable inventory-oriented keywords and utilize paid search as a sales channel versus just for marketing."
SearchAdvisor's features include integrated campaign management; bulk campaign upload; automated bid management; "create and manage" bidding rules; multi-channel reporting; and landing page optimization. SearchAdvisor also includes search marketing analytics that enables sellers to view campaign performance by order, products sold or revenue generated.
ChannelAdvisor provides "channel management solutions" to eBay and online sellers.
