eBay has created a "Disruptive Innovation" team to explore new concepts and create new tools to allow eBay's buyers, sellers and developers to make better use of the eBay platform. It will work closely with the eBay Developers Program team, and both programs will be headed by Max Mancini, new Senior Director of Platform and Innovation at eBay.

Max Mancini, head of eBay's new Disruptive Innovation
Mancini introduced himself to developers on the eBay Developers Program blog. He told them eBay will create more ways for developers to create tools for buyers. "Historically we've been focused on enabling better seller tools, and we know there's more we can do to enable exciting new buy-side applications - we just have to provide you with the right tools."
Mancini has been with eBay for 3 years, running teams in product development for trust and safety, customer support, Stores, My eBay, and Kijiji.
eBay is hosting its sixth annual developers conference in Boston in June prior to the eBay Live user conference.
