Vendio announced its comparison-shopping toolbar has surpassed two and one half million consumer installations. The company said adoption of the Dealio toolbar has been driven by positive word-of-mouth, trade and consumer reviews, growth in traffic to Dealio.com, and agreements with distribution partners.
Dealio includes eBay listings in its search results, providing a snapshot of current pricing for new, used and refurbished products. Dealio also features an "auto-trigger" function that alerts consumers instantly when they are one click away from overpaying for products.
Vendio CEO Rodrigo Sales said, "Over the past few months we have witnessed a significant increase in installations and utilization of the Dealio Toolbar. Furthermore, the addition of user-generated content on Dealio.com last November resulted in more than a threefold increase in site visitors. We look forward to these trends continuing in the coming months as we roll out exciting new toolbar and Web site enhancements."
The Dealio.com website was initially developed primarily to serve as a distribution point for the Dealio Toolbar and has evolved into a destination for user-submitted news on deals and bargains of all kinds.
In addition to publishing the Dealio toolbar, Vendio provides services to eBay and online sellers and acquired competing service provider Andale last year.
