eBay made available today the schedule and sessions for its developer's conference being held in Boston June 11-13, 2007. The eBay Developers Conference 2007 will feature Pierre Omidyar, founder of eBay and CEO of Omidyar Network; John Donahoe, President of eBay Marketplaces; Kevin Lynch, Chief Software Architect at Adobe; Scott Thompson, CTO of PayPal; and other executives from eBay, PayPal, Skype, ProStores and Shopping.com. Keynote speakers will discuss technology innovations happening on the eBay Inc. platforms and across the Web that will allow developers to help shape the future of commerce.
One session entitled "Build a Shopping Portal," will show attendees how to build a comprehensive shopping portal on their own site. Using eBay's Web services platform, visitors will be able to search, browse, research and compare, bid and buy without ever leaving the third-party site. Other sessions will cover such topics as opportunities with PayPal Mobile, digital content delivery, and best practices for eBay application development.
Launching at the Developer's Conference is a ProStores Design Certification program and an introduction to Project Corona, an initiative that will be unveiled at the conference keynote. A particular focus at this year's event will be innovations and applications that enhance the buyer experience on eBay.
The conference will be organized on three tracks: affiliate traffic and buying applications; selling and merchant tools; and commerce consulting and integration. Registration for the eBay Developers Conference 2007 includes admission to eBay Live! 2007 (June 14-16), eBay's sixth annual community conference. The standard conference fees are $595 for the general attendee package. Developer attendees who register before May 25th will receive a 20% discount.
