Reading AuctionBytes: BuySafe Partners with Merchant Account Provider

BuySafe has partnered with e-onlinedata Inc. to make its ecommerce bonding service available to e-onlinedata customers. This is the first merchant account provider that BuySafe has partnered with, having previously formed partnerships with shopping cart vendors, data security companies, and etailers.

Under the terms of the partnership, merchants that pass e-onlinedata's application process and are approved for a merchant account will be automatically approved for a trial account of the BuySafe Certified Merchant service, free of charge.

Approved merchants will display the BuySafe Seal, which certifies that they are trustworthy and reliable, are continually monitored, and that their customers' purchases can be fully guaranteed with a bond from BuySafe and its surety partners Liberty Mutual, Travelers, and ACE USA.

As part of the strategic partnership, BuySafe Merchants will receive discounted pricing on e-onlinedata's suite of credit card processing and payment gateway solutions.

The BuySafe bonding service initially launched to protect eBay transactions but has broadened out to cover other ecommerce transactions. . To date, BuySafe said it has integrated with more than a dozen ecommerce service providers, giving more than 175,000 Internet merchants the ability to install and use BuySafe in a matter of minutes.
