Reading AuctionBytes: Infopia and buySAFE Partner to Enhance eCommerce Trust

Salt Lake City, UT and Arlington, VA – June 12, 2007 – Infopia, the leader in multi-channel online selling solutions, today announced a strategic partnership with buySAFE, the leading trust and safety company for eCommerce transactions, to boost consumer confidence in eCommerce sites. By integrating Infopia’s Marketplace Manager platform with buySAFE’s trust seal and bonding services, merchants can offer their customers third-party assurance that they are trustworthy and reliable, easing consumers’ concerns and facilitating more sales and revenue.

The buySAFE Certified Merchant program will be available as an integrated feature of Infopia’s Marketplace Manager platform. Approved merchants will display the buySAFE Seal, which certifies that they are trustworthy and reliable, their businesses are continually monitored, and their customers’ purchases can be fully guaranteed with a bond from buySAFE and its surety partners Liberty Mutual, Travelers, and ACE USA. Through the partnership, Infopia will also make the buySAFE Certified Merchant program available to their merchants that sell on eBay, making Infopia the first and only online selling solution with this capability.

“Infopia is visionary in recognizing the need to help merchants increase trust wherever they sell online,” said Jeff Grass, buySAFE’s CEO. “With 30% of all domestic eCommerce taking place through online marketplaces, the Infopia-buySAFE partnership gives Infopia’s multi-channel merchants a powerful advantage that no other selling solution offers. By employing the buySAFE trust solution, Infopia merchants can let shoppers know that they are trustworthy and reliable, which makes these shoppers more likely to buy. This higher conversion rate results in greater revenue and greater profits for merchants every single month.”

“Helping our clients succeed in an increasingly competitive eCommerce 2.0 world is our mission,” said Bjorn Espenes, CEO of Infopia. “Partnering with buySAFE, a prominent leader in its field, provides our clients with an additional way to differentiate themselves, all at no extra cost to the merchant.”

To qualify for buySAFE, Infopia merchants must pass the buySAFE certification process, which ensures that they are financially sound, reliable, and committed to delivering on their terms of sale. Merchants that use buySAFE experience higher conversion rates, higher sales, and more frequent repeat shoppers, and they also earn additional revenue from any buySAFE bond guarantees their customers purchase. buySAFE is completely free for merchants to use on their websites. Merchants who would like to apply should visit www.buysafe.com.
