The Executive Director of PESA Jonathan Garriss has issued a position statement about the health of the eBay marketplace. "Unhealthy eBay Marketplace Dynamics: Is it the finding (search), or is it buyer confidence?" outlines complaints about eBay's website and management decisions.

The publishing of the paper, almost brutally critical of eBay, comes on the heels of a major squabble between eBay and its partner Google over a protest party planned for Thursday night. Google has been frustrated that the company has banned its checkout service from eBay, and because eBay broke off talks with it about integrating Checkout into eBay's ProStores web hosting service.

The membership of PESA is comprised of top eBay PowerSellers, many of whom have begun expanding off of the eBay site.
