eBay announced a new advertising campaign during its annual eBay Live conference earlier this month, and last week, it announced a special campaign for Australia with a similar theme: make shopping exciting!

The "Windorphins" campaign is running in Boston, New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, and in national magazines including People, Us, Time, or Newsweek. eBay created a website as part of the promotion where registered eBay users can enter a contest to win prizes through July 1, 2007 (http://www.windorphins.com).

On Friday, eBay Australia announced a television ad campaign running in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Ads will also appear in weekly magazines like Who! and New Idea, on billboards, and "some unique and fun animations across the internet."
