AuctionBytes has released the results of its survey of eBay sellers conducted in July 2007. The survey asked sellers about issues and challenges they faced and about their views on recently implemented features and policies on the eBay site and asked them about their recent sales performance on the online-auction site.
Among the results of the survey:
- The number one challenge online sellers face on eBay is fees
- Sellers reported that, in addition to fees, reduced store visibility in search, shipping costs, and competition were their biggest issues faced as eBay sellers
- 54% of respondents said their Average Selling Price has decreased over the past 2 years
- 63% of respondents said their Sell Through Rates have decreased over the past 2 years
AuctionBytes is an independent trade publication for online merchants with a focus on the online-auction industry. The newsletter publisher conducted the survey in July 2007, and 988 readers responded. The full results can be viewed on the AuctionBytes website.
