Shopping.com Merchants Can Opt to Post on eBay Express

eBay has opened its fixed-price eBay Express "marketplace" to sellers on Shopping.com, the comparison-shopping site that eBay acquired in 2005. eBay also told users it was placing greater emphasis on merchandising on the Express site with more merchandising placements and better recommendations over the next few months. "These placements showcase special deals as well as branded products, which we know that Express buyers are very interested in."

eBay launched Express last year to attract shoppers wanting new, in-season items. The site is populated with fixed-price listings from eBay Stores and eBay.com that can be purchased right away. Earlier this year, eBay added items from Half.com to eBay Express.

In order to qualify for exposure on eBay Express, Shopping.com merchants must be part of Shopping.com's "Cart" program, which allows their items to be purchased directly on Shopping.com, and must have been on the site for at least a year.

Qualified merchants can set the existing SetUserPreferences Request flag value to "All" to make their listings show up on eBay Express, or set the flag to "optout" if they don't want their listings to show up on eBay Express.
