eBay has been promoting PESA (the Professional eBay Sellers Alliance) to its sellers as the organization of top eBay sellers prepares to hold its first summit in Australia. In addition to announcing the event on the eBay Australia Announcement Board, eBay has sent co-branded emails to its 10,000 PowerSellers in Australia.
eBay is sending personnel from Australia and Canada to the event, including the Managing Director of eBay Australia Simon Smith; Managing Director of Paypal Australia, Andrew Pipolo; and Shopping.com Australian Manager Shaun Cornelius. PESA members from the US and Canada will also be in attendance, including Jonathan Garriss (Executive Director of PESA), Adam Hersh, Nekky Jamal, John Wieber and David and Lamar Hardin.
The two 1-day summits are scheduled for September 11th in Sydney and September 14th in Melbourne. Early Bird registration through August 25th is AU$99.00 for the conference plus AU$29.00 for a cocktail party. Phil Leahy is president of PESA Australia.
