GoAntiques.com announced it has passed the half million mark in art, antiques and collectibles inventory available online with a total value of almost $275 million. GoAntiques.com President and CEO Jim Kamnikar said the company is the largest online marketplace using storefront and auction formats focused exclusively on merchandising arts, antiques and collectibles.
GoAntiques.com has broadened its reach through affiliations and partnerships. Its distribution network provides art, antiques and collectibles listings to many sites including Google Product Search and BobVila.com, as well as eBay Live Auctions (http://www.liveauctions.ebay.com). GoAntiques.com also offers a Wholesale Channel for member dealers.
GoAntiques also attributes its success to private-label use of its online inventory by insurance companies. Through its PriceMiner product, historical pricing information can be accessed from a base of more than 24 million records from online sources such as eBay Market Data and Tias.com, in addition to GoAntiques.com, and from premier land-based auction houses such as Phillips de Pury, Canadian Coinoisseur, Rago Arts & Auction Center, Stanley Gibbons, Manitou Galleries, Leslie Hindman Auctioneers and others. PriceMiner data and its 20 million photos of merchandise are used to determine replacement and market value of art, antiques and collectibles.
GoAntiques.com's inventory comes from more than 1,400 dealers in 27 countries. More than a million visits and thousands of transactions are logged on GoAntiques.com each month. More than 350,000 people are registered as GoAntiques.com members.
