Reading AuctionBytes: Google Checkout Offers Free Payment Processing for Non-Profits

Google Checkout for Non-Profits is a new offering from Google Checkout that lets U.S. non-profit organizations (IRS-certified 501(c)(3)s) have an easy and free way to accept online donations. The service will be free at least through the end of 2008 (no monthly, setup or gateway fees and no transaction fees). Google Checkout explains, "donors can support these groups knowing that 100 percent of their donations will reach their charity." Google Checkout for Non-Profits also allows donors to track their charitable giving in a convenient and central place.
