Some eBay users were buzzing over a message they received on Monday upon logging into their PayPal accounts. "From now on, it may take extra time for your latest transactions to appear in your Recent Activity. You'll see a message above your Recent Activity until all your transactions appear."
Spokesperson Amanda Pires said PayPal made changes that result in possible delays of a few minutes in updating the display of recent transactions in users' account overview and account history pages. Pires said the upgrades and changes to PayPal's infrastructure were done in order to improve the site's overall functionality.
A timestamp at the top of the transaction log in a user's account displays the last time the account overview was updated.
Pires said users can also see information about the latest transactions through the confirmation email received after the transaction is completed. She said, "This change does not change how transactions are processed. Also users' account balances are always up to date."
