Bookselling site Alibris announced to sellers the launch of a new music section and movie section. Alibris has been selling music and movies for the last few years but recently made across-the-board improvements to enhance the shopping experience. An easier inventory-upload process means sellers can enter the UPC, price, and condition of their CDs and DVDs, and Alibris fills in the rest of the listings.
Alibris added the ability for shoppers to browse music and movies by genre. It also added a data-rich merchandising catalog so search results will include cover art, detailed descriptions, music track listings, and links to search results based on artists, composers, lead actors, directors, and more.
Alibris said it has prepared for the holiday season with online promotions, coupons, and partner programs to draw attention to the new music and movie sections.
