eBay is making changes to its PowerSeller program that it had announced at the eBay Live conference in June. eBay will now allow high volume "seasonal" sellers and sellers who move a high volume, but with a low average sales price, to join the program.
In addition, eBay announced it is expanding phone support to Bronze PowerSellers. There are five levels of PowerSellers. Bronze members must maintain a monthly average of $1,000 in sales or sell 100 items/month for three consecutive months to qualify. Seasonal Bronze PowerSellers must maintain an annual average of $12,000 in sales or sell 1,200 items/year based on the prior twelve months.
eBay defines PowerSellers as top sellers who sustain a consistent high volume of monthly sales and a high level of total feedback with 98% or better positive rating by other eBay users.
Changes to the program go into effect on November 15, 2007.
