Sellers on classifieds sites who use TrustPlus will be able to accept credit card payments from buyers through the BidPay online payment service, a wholly owned subsidiary of CyberSource. TrustPlus is a "reputation service" (think of a Web 2.0 version of eBay feedback). BidPay's payment platform helps buyers make purchases using their credit cards without revealing the card's information to sellers. By joining these services, online buyers will be able to access a seller's reputation and make their purchase with a debit or credit card in one step, while maintaining their privacy and security.
Sellers can currently choose to display their TrustPlus reputation scores on eBay, Craigslist, EPage, iMoondo, Backpage.com and other online classifieds sites. EPage will be the first site to offer its members the TrustPlus reputation system enhanced by BidPay payment services.
