eBay is holding a contest to help showcase its Giving Works charity program and is giving three winners $5,000 each. Users must submit a video along with an essay describing "how eBay Giving Works has changed his/her life and/or helped participating nonprofit organizations." There are three categories: an eBay Giving Works buyer; an eBay Giving Works seller; and an eBay Giving Works nonprofit recipient.
The Giving Works program has helped eBay users raise more than $118 million for charity from listings sold on eBay worldwide since 2000.
The "Shoot, Share, Win!" video contest deadline is December 21, 2007. Entrants must be legal residents of the US and confirmed, registered members of eBay.com. Note that eBay prohibits the use of the eBay logo or any intellectual property owned by eBay in videos and description. Read the full rules on the eBay website.
