As eBay increasingly relies on Detailed Seller Ratings (DSRs) to evaluate seller performance, its UK site said it would begin launching a new way for sellers to monitor and act on their ratings - but the company gave no details. It also said it would continue to educate buyers on DSRs and how best to leave these ratings, something sellers have criticized eBay for failing to do.
eBay UK already favors high-rated sellers in search results (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y07/m12/i06/s02), something coming to the eBay.com site this year. A discussion of eBay's DSR is ongoing at the AuctionBytes blog (http://blog.auctionbytes.com/cgi-bin/blog/blog.pl?/pl/2008/1/1199285206.html).
