eBay Lowers Insertion Fees for Media Category

In the Books, Music, Movies and Video Game software categories, eBay will lower insertion fees from 20 cents to 10 cents for auction-style listings with a starting price of less than $1. eBay will lower insertion fees from 40 cents to 25 cents for auction-style and fixed price listings with a starting price of $1.00 - $9.99. Finally, eBay will lower insertion fees from 60 cents to 35 cents for auction-style and fixed price listings with a starting price of $10.00 - $24.99.
eBay also stated that it intends to "stick with" the changes it announced on January 29, 2008, involving Detailed Seller Ratings, the PowerSeller discount program, feedback and DSRs in search. eBay announced it would lower insertion fees for listings in its media category effective February 20. Apparently it had already planned to make changes - the announcement stated eBay would be "accelerating our plan to phase-in category-specific pricing for media."
