eBay Australia announced a new feature that makes it easier to correct listings that have been removed by eBay due to policy violations. According to the post, most listing violations are unintentional, yet because eBay completely removes the listings from the site, sellers are unable to make the required corrections and relist. Instead, sellers have to recreate the listing.
eBay Australia said beginning Tuesday, listings removed for policy violation will be saved in the "Unsold" section of My eBay with a clear indication that the listing was cancelled. Sellers will receive an email in My Messages explaining why the listing was removed and the policy that it violated. Sellers can then edit the listing and relist the item accordingly (or delete it).
It's not known if this change will roll out to other eBay international sites.
