Oodle, an online classifieds site and aggregator, said it is continuing to fight the problem of fraud on classifieds sites. According to Oodle, it sees so many listings (500,000 new listings weekly from over 80,000 websites), it can quickly spot patterns and trends. Faith Sedlin, co-founder and vice president of marketing for Oodle said, "We already have industry-leading anti-scam technology; we're launching an online safety center with free publications and a blog about news scams as they break; and we're partnering with the Golden Gate Better Business Bureau to get the word out to consumers." On its Safety Center site, it has resources, including a guide to common scams and tips for both buyers and sellers.
