Proxibid, a provider of live auction webcasting services, announced record-breaking results for the month of March. The service hosted 482 auctions in a single month representing $227 million worth of goods offered on the site. On March 29, Proxibid hosted 51 auctions, breaking its record for the most auctions ever hosted in a single day. Proxibid also said it experienced a record number of registered bidders during the month of March.

Since webcasting its first live online auction in September 2002, Proxibid has gone from working with only five auctioneers and hosting seven auctions per month, to working with more than 1,100 auctioneers from the United States, Canada, and Mexico, broadcasting an average of 450 live and timed auctions each month.
