Online sellers can now link their eBay feedback to the TrustPlus reputation service through a partnership with SageFire. TrustPlus launched last year, allowing users to connect with friends and friends' friends, creating direct and indirect connections with others. Now, according to TrustPlus founder and CEO Shawn Broderick, the company is able to include eBay feedback data as an input to its reputation analysis system.
Broderick said TrustPlus will not actually display a user's eBay feedback rating, but will use the information in its engine, which rates users on a scale of "trustworthiness." The reputation system works across multiple websites, allowing TrustPlus to aggregate users' ratings across all of their identities, such as multiple usernames and email addresses.
Sellers on Craigslist, EPage, iMoondo, Backpage.com and other online classifieds sites can display their TrustPlus reputation scores to give consumers more confidence. EPage and iMoondo will be the first sites to offer their members the ability to leverage their eBay reputation via the TrustPlus reputation system.
SageFire founder and CEO JP O'Brien said, "What excites me most about the Trustplus partnership is the future implications and resulting solutions a trusted Internet will provide. Shawn and his team have done a masterful job so far and we are trilled to be a part of the big picture." SageFire is an eBay Certified Solution Provider and offers a service called YES! for eBay, an itemized Year End Summary for eBay.
