Ztail launched a new service that it calls the first interactive pricing guide for anything under the sun, relying on the "Collective Wisdom of Communities." It gives users four ways to determine an item's worth: Users can provide estimates and build feedback based on their accuracy; Users can display widgets on their blogs or social networking sites asking other members to provide an estimate; Users can enter a link to the item from retail sites or marketplace such as eBay or Craigslist; and Users can search prior sales on eBay to calculate average values.
Ztail has also released the "What's It Worth?" application for Facebook, which creates a game out of letting users "guesstimate" the worth of items for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Points are allocated depending on the accuracy of each "Worth," and users with the most points can earn prizes.
Ztail was co-founded by Bill Hudak, Jordan Kobert and Dave Keefer and originally launched as a service that helped casual sellers create professional listings and publish to eBay, classified sites and their favorite social network sites, including MySpace, Facebook and blogs.
