eBay issued a press release announcing its Kijiji classifieds site in the US has turned one. "Kijiji will mark its one-year anniversary in the U.S. online classifieds market and commemorate its success of reaching more than four million unique visitors per month. This milestone clearly positions Kijiji well ahead of most major competitors who have targeted the online classifieds market. With the goal of creating a free, clean, and easy-to-use online classifieds platform for local communities, Kijiji has exceeded expectations with phenomenal growth and adoption since the site went live on June 29, 2007."

Another eBay press release announced that Giving Works, its charitable giving program, is celebrating its 5-year anniversary and has raised more than $150 million for global causes through charity listings on eBay. It is introducing several program enhancements:

Donate Now: launching later this summer, enables the eBay Community to support the causes they care about by making a contribution via PayPal within the eBay Giving Works platform, to a certified nonprofit of their choice.

Redesigned eBay Giving Works site: featuring a streamlined new look and fresh, updated content at www.ebaygivingworks.com. The updated interface features improved search functionality so shoppers have a quick and easy way to make socially-conscious purchases, also making it easier for individual sellers to drive attention to their favorite causes.

New Donation Account in My eBay: allows sellers to manage their eBay Giving Works activity directly from My eBay - including the ability to manage listings, donations, tax receipts and more.

Streamlined Registration for first-time sellers: simply accept the program's new and simplified Terms & Conditions and start selling with eBay Giving Works.

Finally, eBay's PayPal unit issued a press release on Monday touting its 10th anniversary. It released a website with a retrospective of PayPal's ten years in business, including video interviews of its founders and current management (https://www.paypal-10.com).
