The New Zealand Herald is reporting that the importer of the Ab King Pro workout machines has sued that country's leading online-auction site, Trade Me, "claiming it failed to stop counterfeiters from cashing in on the device's good name."

Last week, a French court ordered eBay to pay almost 40 million euros to LVMH for "negligence" and "illicit sales" over the sale of counterfeit goods on its online auction site. That case was predicted to open up copycat lawsuits against eBay and other marketplaces on which goods are sold by third-party sellers.
