Reading AuctionBytes: IronPlanet Opens Doors to John Deere Dealers

IronPlanet, a leading online auction company for used construction and agricultural equipment, announced a new service to assist John Deere dealers in remarketing and selling used equipment inventory. The agreement provides John Deere dealers the capability to sell inventory from their private dealer-to-dealer Web site (UsedExpress.com), and their public used equipment Web site (machinefinder.com) through IronPlanet's online marketplace.

IronPlanet averaged 14,000 visitors per auction in the second quarter of 2008. John Deere dealers will have their equipment inspected at their location by a trained equipment inspector, and take advantage of the IronClad Assurance - IronPlanet's guarantee that its inspection reports are true representations of equipment condition. Dealer equipment will be auctioned direct from its location anywhere in the U.S.
