ProPay announced a new set of offerings for eBay sellers who must comply with a new electronic-payments only policy that goes into effect on October 20. ProPay allows sellers to accept credit card payments on eBay and on their own websites and offers several plans for eBay sellers.

The ProPay eAuction Account for eBay Silver and higher PowerSellers will be available in late October. It will have an annual fee of $24 billed annually upon sign up, with a $24 rebate processing credit offered to sellers who process $3,000 or more with ProPay during their first 6 months. The company did not yet make public the transaction fees, instead saying they would be "very similar" to competitors' virtual terminal transaction fees.

Late this year, ProPay will unveil the eAuction Pro Account for eBay Silver PowerSellers who need additional, specialized services for processing credit and debit cards in face-to-face and other situations. This account will add processing options such as ProPay's online virtual terminal; touch-tone phone processing; email invoice; direct API integration; and secure card reader. The annual fee for the eAuction Pro Account will be $240, billed annually at sign up, and transaction fees will be identical to the regular eAuction account.

ProPay is fully integrated into eBay checkout. Buyers do not provide their banking information or log into or sign up for ProPay accounts - they simply enter their credit or debit card information.

ProPay said it expects to roll out a version of its eAuction plan for Bronze PowerSellers in early 2009.
