Amazon Seller Performance Scorecard Measures 'Order Defect' Rate

Reading AuctionBytes: Amazon Seller Performance Scorecard Measures 'Order Defect' Rate

Amazon.com added a new performance scorecard to the Customer Metrics section of sellers' accounts. The scorecard gives sellers an at-a-glance summary of whether they are meeting Amazon's performance expectations with regard to order defect rate. Performance is rated good, fair, or poor.

Amazon's FAQs section explains that sellers who see a Poor rating, presented graphically with an "x" on a stop sign, means their performance does not meet Amazon's target for that metric and continued performance at this level may result in the suspension of their selling account. "Sellers with poor performance should identify the source of the problems and take corrective action as soon as possible."

Amazon also added a new Notifications page to the Customer Metrics section of sellers' accounts containing copies of the key policy and performance notices sent to sellers by Amazon's Seller Performance team.
