eBay issued an announcement informing users that this week marked the beginning of its holiday campaign, which would include Internet advertising and a radio ad campaign that will kick off on November 17th. Initiatives also include the Microsoft Live Search Cashback program, which gives shoppers who arrive at eBay through Microsoft Live Search up to 30% cash back on the purchase of any eligible fixed-price item when using a PayPal account. eBay said it would also distribute coupons to millions of eligible eBay customers throughout the season. The percentage offers will vary, and all coupons are valid on any auction-style of fixed price listings when PayPal is used.
Other marketing initiatives previously announced include the "Daily Deal," the "Bid From $1" and the "$1 Holiday Doorbuster.
eBay also announced a "Get 15% Off Holiday Purchases with the eBay MasterCard" program. From November 18th through December 31st, eBay shoppers can get 15% off their eBay purchases, up to $30 back, when they sign up for the eBay MasterCard.
