Online auction site eBid.net said it is on the verge of reaching a milestone and is offering a cash prize of $3,000 to the seller who lists the 3 millionth individual listing on its site. One month after awarding $2,500 for the 2 millionth listing in December, eBid.net has grown 32% or 400,000 listings. It currently has over 2.4m listings across 9000 categories and has a presence through the US, Europe, Asia and Australasia.
eBid co-founder Mark Wilkinson said, "Over the coming months, as we continue to invest in marketing and advertising to drive explosive growth in the US and UK, the cash prizes will keep coming as our way of thanking our members for making us one of the top shopping destinations on the web."
